Who are we? - The ones behind Aeroflux
Aeroflux is a team made out of 6 ambitious students from CLIP – Oporto International School, who thrive to work for Aeroflux´s race to the podium.
Team Principal - Matilde Lopes
Our team leader plays a critical role in managing and guiding Aeroflux. By orchestrating the Aeroflux´s success throughout the various stages of the competition. Matilde is responsible for developing a strategic plan that outlines the team’s goals, objectives, and timeline for the competition. This includes setting targets for design, manufacturing, testing, and performance improvement. She is responsible to delegate tasks, allocate resources, and establish deadlines to keep the project on track. Matilde also facilitates open communication among team members, mentors, sponsors, and competition organisers.
Corporate Relations Manager - Afonso Gali Macedo
Our sponsorship manager plays a crucial for securing financial support, resources, and partnerships to ensure Aeroflux`s success in the competition. He is responsible for developing a comprehensive sponsorship strategy that outlines the team’s funding needs, target sponsors, and benefits for potential sponsors. Afonso also is responsible to promote sponsors and partnerships through various channels, including social media, press releases, team presentations, and event signage. He ensures that sponsors receive the visibility and recognition they deserve for their support.
Strategy and Insight Specialist - Pedro Silva
Our Insight and Strategy Specialist plays a crucial role in the F1 in Schools team by analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and developing strategies to enhance performance across all competition elements. Pedro ensures that Aeroflux remains focused on data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and the alignment of efforts to achieve the team’s goals.
Media and Communications Manager - João Domingues
Our communications manager, often also serving as the Social Media Manager, she is crucial for maintaining Aeroflux´s online presence, engaging with the audience, and promoting the team´s activities, achievements and brand. She created a social media strategy, takes care of content creation and curation, community engagement, sponsor and partner promotion and reporting the analytics back to the team.
Manufacturing Engineer - Marta Costa
Our manufacturing engineer plays an integral role to the production process of A1, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, precision, and performance. She is responsible for planning and optimizing the manufacturing process for producing A1. Marta oversees the machining and fabrication of F1 car components, utilising CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, lathes, mills, and other precision manufacturing equipment.
Design Engineer - Miguel Lima
Our Design Engineer in Aeroflux plays a critical role in conceptualising, designing, and refining A1 to achieve optimal performance, aesthetics, and compliance with competition regulations. Miguel combines creativity with technical expertise to develop an F1 in Schools car that is both innovative and functional.
